Ingredients
1 – Whole Chicken Cut Into Quarters
2 TBSP β Extra Virgin Olive Oil
S & P β To taste
2 Cups β Uncle Woods Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400F.
Lightly coat both sides of the chicken in olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Place the chicken on a baking sheet skin side down and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the oven. Raise the temperature to 425F.
With a basting brush, coat the chicken in our Uncle Woods Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce. Turn the chicken over and baste the other side with sauce and place the chicken back in the oven for 6 minutes.
Remove from the oven and baste the top with sauce again. Place it back in the oven for another 6 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the oven again, and baste it a 3rd and final time. Place it back in the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
For crispier chicken, you can broil it for another 3 or 4 minutes to your liking.
Tips
You can sub whole chicken for only thighs and/or legs. Itβs harder to over cook and the dark meat is always juicier than the white.
For crispier chicken, roast on a rack on top of your baking sheet. If you do this just leave the skin side up for the whole cooking process.
